As a podcast producer & manager, I monitor recording sessions, edit both the audio & video components of every episode and create all of the graphics and social cut-downs for social media.
bits & bytes
Bits & Bytes is an audio-visual podcast hosted by Jean Yoon (Program Manager) and Sam Chan (VP of Programs) of Launch. The original premise of the show was to have candid conversations with members of the tech and startup communities using unique food challenges as the catalyst. However, since the beginning of work from home due to COVID-19, the show is being recorded remotely without the food component.
Bits & Bytes was recently listed as one of Vancouver Tech Journal's smartest business and tech podcasts in Vancouver.
During my time at Launch, I produced and managed the show, which meant I not only monitored the behind-the-scenes of each recording session, but I also edited the audio and visual components of every episode and created the graphics and social cut-downs for social media.
I produced and managed the podcast up until Episode 8: Just Try It: How We Went from Architecture, Kinesiology & Hospitality to Tech.
As part of Launch's Maple, Liberty and Launchpad programs, live Ask Me Anything sessions were held for members over Zoom with mentors and highly esteemed members of the tech and startup communities in Vancouver.
During my time at Launch, I produced and managed the show, which meant I not only ensured we had guests (mentors / experts) scheduled, a run-of-show prepared, but also edited the video and audio components of each episode, as well as created graphics and cut-downs for social media.
The video recordings were provided to the members, and a podcast (audio-only) version of the recording was made available to the public 1-2 weeks after the live event had taken place.
I produced and managed the podcast up until Episode 7.
